Our mission is to make effective therapy accessible to patients anywhere and at any time

We're market leaders in digital therapeutics across the globe, with over 450,000 users. But our goal goes far beyond that: making affordable and effective therapy accessible to millions of patients around the world.

The story

Kaia was born when founders, Konstantin Mehl and Manuel Thurner, came together on their mission to find a more effective way to manage chronic back pain. After years of personal suffering from this issue, the founder duo discovered the solution: multimodal therapy, otherwise known as the gold standard for pain management. The challenge was that the cost – both time and money – made this therapy virtually inaccessible to just about everyone.

And so enter Kaia: a digital version of this clinically validated mind-body therapy. One that can be accessed by anyone, anytime, anywhere.

Officially launched in 2016, Kaia Health is headquartered in Munich, Germany and New York City.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Kaia today

Today, Kaia offers digital programs to help people with chronic musculoskeletal pain—including back, hip, and knee pain—and COPD. Our platform has grown over the years to increasingly support large populations of chronic pain patients and also those seeking a proactive routine to stay strong and pain free.

Primarily in the US and Europe but ever expanding, these populations range from enterprise companies to preeminent health plans and hospital systems.

The vision

Developed by industry-defining computer science professionals, the company’s AI Lab is devoted to innovation, developing medical grade therapy programs that adapt and respond to users’ individual needs, conditions and requirements.

In the future, we will release clinically-proven digital therapies for Parkinson’s disease and more. We envision a not-too-distant day in which all patients suffering from chronic conditions are able to support or replace their standard of care routines with our market leading digital solutions.
